eggs!

I started this NZ native bird egg ID project after finding various egg shells scattered through the forest each breeding season and struggled to ID many of them. Some of the eggs in this photographed collection date back to the 1960's and are from public and private displays.

Tui

White to pale pink base colour with pale brown spotting on air cell end, or fine splatter across whole egg. Both examples seen in here in one clutch.
