it's all about the birds
I'll admit it, narrowing down the main New Zealand bird page to just a handful of images was hard... very hard! To compromise, I decided to include this page, a full list of all the species I have photographed.
New Zealand birds are so unique, from the flightless kiwi, a bird that has almost mammalian characteristics, to the big blue takahē, a bird thought extinct for over 50 years.
The takahē, once thought to be extinct for over 50 years!
