Hi, I'm Tara, a wildlife photographer nestled in the heart of the Tararuas. My journey into wildlife and nature photography started many years ago, with a point and shoot camera from Dad, hunting down skinks and butterflies in France.
We moved from the UK to New Zealand in 2007 and it has been an adventure ever since. After completing my Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Biodiversity at Victoria University in Wellington, my love for New Zealand's native wildlife flourished. I am fortunate to work at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre as a Conservation Ranger, taking care of the birds and wildlife that call the reserve home. They have taught me everything I need to know; about the species, their individual personalities and how best to capture them on camera.
