The Feather Project
Feather | HuruhuruThe Feather Project began with a quiet, unexpected encounter with a kererū, close enough to notice the iridescent, rainbow sheen of its feathers, a detail so often missed when they sit hidden in the canopy or pass overhead. That fleeting moment sparked a deeper curiosity: to explore and photograph the many “coats” of feathers across Aotearoa’s native birdlife, revealing the intricate textures and colours that are so easily overlooked. This collection brings together some of my favourite images from the project, with the full series available through my online store.
